Many charter schools have the ability to selectively admit students in ways which neighborhood public schools cannot. Even then, the median Philly charter school has a lower % of students who scored at least proficient in PSSA math in 22-23 than median Philly public school. 🧵1/

Kind of overwhelming, but here's a diagram of Jeff Yass PA political funding from 2021. The richest man in PA is the single largest source of $ for PA GOP campaigns, and he was the 2nd largest funder of Back to School PAC, which donated to GOP school board campaigns across PA. 1/
A lot of Yass' $ last year went toward the competitive PA state-level judicial races. Yass-funded PACs alone were responsible for 38% of the financial support for GOP candidates in these races and 56%(!) of Supreme Court Judge Brobson's support. All but Crompton won. 2/

Vega has received more support from the typical big 3 donor sectors in Philly - real estate, (building trades) unions and lawyers. Of all $ that we identified as coming from lawyers in this race, 79% went to Vega. 26% of Vega's lawyer support came from pre-Krasner DA employees.
