@LibertyJen Can I tell you my story, Jen? My father, too, had his own business. He was a tile contractor. He had one employee besides himself, and always paid his quarterly taxes on time. He used an accountant, a friend of the family.
Now, my story isn't about embezzlement, but ~ /1@LibertyJen ~ incompetence. My parents had been paying their quarterly taxes, and their annual personal taxes as prescribed by their accountant. In 1991, my dad received a notice that he had underpaid his quarterly employee taxes from five years previous.

People with blue checks behind their names who assume "everyday" people have no need of a weapon for protection are terribly naive. Maybe it's time to finally tell my own story. Even if no one reads it, I'll feel better for finally saying it.
I grew up around guns. My dad was a hunter, and I learned to fire a shotgun and handgun at an early age. I was taught that guns are to be respected, that they aren't toys.
