I'm really no longer entertaining the Reading Crisis in Grade 4 anymore.
We KNOW what the issue is from Foundation Phase but we are deliberately NOT listened to.
We are constantly told to adjust marks during the Verification Process.
As a Departmental Head and FP SAT co ordinator, I can confirm that we receive a mandate to adjust marks by 5% in core subjects.

Hi guys!
This evening I am a making a very short but hopefully informative thread on how to improve counting skills, particularly at Grade 2 Level.🌺
That might be the question on a lot of parents' minds.
A child's ability to count helps him/her with sequencing / ordering. Your child gets to understand the importance of routine through counting.
It also serves as a foundation for Maths skills.

As a woman, nothing will ever prepare you for the pain of being in love with someone who views you as a wife and mother but NOT a sexual being. They completely disregard that at a point, you were a sexual being before becoming a mother or wife .
They can't see you in lingerie. They prefer seeing you close your laptop, read the Bible and come straight to bed and call it a night.
Meanwhile in your head, you want him to say "pause work a bit, I miss you."

Teachers, when you are changing schools; DO NOT allow your principal to bully you into filling in a resignation form.
They know the system‼️. If you are changing schools; particularly interprovincially; you don’t fill in a resignation.
It will wipe you OFF THE DATBASE‼️‼️😩
And once you are OFF the database, you will NEED to start over.
And guess what?
Another 6 months waiting for a salary!!!
If you are changing schools, consult your HR, just provide your new appointment letter to the school you’re leaving and start at your new school.

“Why do our children need cursive?!” 😭
I get asked this question quite often. So I’m going to share the importance of cursive handwriting 🌸 especially in Early Childhood. 1. Cursive develops the Fine Motor Skills of a young child.
This means; a child would have to fully focus on his/her pencil grip when forming cursive letters.
This practice improves their ability to tie shoelaces, tie knots, squeeze a sponge etc.
