NEW: At least 45 sanctioned Russian vessels have passed through the UK’s exclusive economic zone in the time between the Bella-1‘s seizure and the Government’s discovery of the legal grounds they can use to seize ships.

16 of these sailed through British territorial waters, and a further five travelled through Britain's EEZ using fake or false identification numbers.

While the UK continues to talk big, we take a look at the last time they decided to act - over five years ago.

inews.co.uk/news/special-f… On Tuesday, a falsely flagged shadow fleet tanker sanctioned by the UK, US and EU travelled through UK territorial waters off of Scotland’s Outer Hebrides, according to data provided by @StarboardIntel.

The Adonia was sanctioned in September by the Foreign Office for conducting illicit trades as part of Russia’s shadow fleet. It sailed around 10 miles off UK shores.

BREAK: A Russian shadow fleet tanker, sanctioned by the US, is currently sailing through the English Channel under a false name.

The vessel was sanctioned by the US while carrying the name Tia (IMO: 9147447) in 2024. It now uses a fake name Tavian to carry out its suspected illicit activities.

Given yesterday's operation against the Bella-1, and the strong words that followed, isn't this exactly the kind of vessel the UK wants to continue going after?

NEW: Tensions are increasing on the Taiwan strait.
🇹🇼🇨🇳
I went to Taiwan and spoke to over a dozen diplomats, MPs, intelligence officials and analysts to see how Europe would react to a Chinese invasion of the island.

I was staggered by what I found...🧵

"We don’t even have the capacities to supply our own militaries and support Ukraine," a senior diplomatic source told me. “ We have reached a production limit and that is not good.”

On Monday, I was told by a source close to the investigation that US military equipment had picked up a “large acoustic signal” with the “signature of an implosion” at the time the Titan submersible went dark.

But the US coast guard repeatedly ignored me and kept this quite 1/ Given what an implosion meant - sudden loss of life for all on board - we decided not to publish this and wait until a loss of life was confirmed.

Investigators continued to say they held on to hope, reiterating that this was a rescue mission, not a recovery 2/
