I've genuinely had so much fun doing my little review thread of my mystery box that I thought I'd share the joy.
And since covid is still a thing & flying out to make someone food is cost prohibitive, this felt like the next best thing lol.
I want to give folks something nice!

I have a formal diagnosis (inattentive ADHD) and a prescription for medication (Ritalin)!
SUCCESS!!!
I started the call with my psych today by explaining how I hadn't gotten good sleep & woke up three hours before it so that I would be sure I didn't miss it & she just said "I was already certain in the diagnosis I'm going to make but this pretty much confirms it" and we laughed.

Tiktok is frankly invaluable to me because aside from Twitter it has taught me so much about my own neurodivergence.
Like today I learned what auditory hyposensitivity is, which - upon just cursory investigation - perfectly explains a group of issues I had I never could explain.
...I really need a referral to an autism specialist.

WELCOME TO RAMANIA 2022: THE RANDOM RAMEN REVIEW
I purchased for myself a mystery bag of 15 assorted styles of instant noodles that I'll be trying over the next several days. As a note: not all of them are technically "ramen" but I couldn't resist the alliteration. I'm a sucker.
First up: Binh Tay Mi Chay La Bo De Vegetarian Instant Noodles
Holy crap, these are really good! The moment I put the powder into the bowl the smell enticed me. The noodles have a great chew & cool off quick, which I like.
But the BROTH. So tasty!
8/10. Could live off of it.

White American chef on a cooking competition show: "I spent a year in Vietnam, my boyfriend's Vietnamese, I've spent time with his grandma cooking. I'm the expert here in this competition! This is my food!!"
We're really gonna have to talk very seriously one day about the entitled colonialism inherent in "western cuisine."

Okay. I promised updates, and every two weeks feels relatively appropriate for that.
So!
It's been 14 days since I started taking 2mg of sublingual estradiol. 14 days since I started my HRT.
There have been changes: a couple major, some minor, & tiny ones as well.
Thread!🧵
Currently the regimen I'm on has me placing that blue pill to dissolve under my tongue. There's really any time I could take it, some folks recommend doing so in the morning to have as close to the same hormonal cycle as cis women would. I take mine about an hour after I wake.

Honestly, no one should really be surprised by NFTs. They are a natural product of a society who values privatized ownership over community, creates excess at the expense of our environment, & pits everyone against each other in a get rich or die mindset.
It was just inevitable.
It is the natural result of two hundred years of greedy, polluting, conniving hypercapitalism. It is the honest result of the hollow, meaningless, cutthroat world the wealthy few have inflicted upon the rest of us, and if you're angry at NFTs, you have to see the bigger picture.

Hi! Are you a GM running a game where PCs are prone to death & you need a way to convey that if they do an action like, say, spitting in the face of a mob boss that action might have dire consequences?
Introducing two simple mechanics:
Endangering Actions & Points of No Return!
Endangering Actions & Points of No Return are easy GM check-ins with the party to confirm that the action they committed to is indeed the one they want to carry out in spite of the risk they pose to the PC. They're a thing I started using recently & each goes something like this:
