A few weeks ago I was going to make a post about a certain hospital and their bullshit attitudes toward their patients with disabilities who ask for accommodations. So let's kick that off.
Right off the bat, this is about @MassGenBrigham, formerly Mass General Hospital.
Many patients that I work with and help guide through the daunting healthcare system have gone to MGH/@MassGenBrigham for various kinds of care. While the mask mandates were in effect, many of those same people were able to access quality care without too many issues.

If you've never been in a hurricane before, here are some tios that I hope you'll never need...but maybe will help if you find yourself in need.
1.) Never trust the depth or speed of any body of water. Don't attempt to walk through it. Don't attempt to drive through it.
Water depths and currents can be misleading, resulting in your being swept away or stranded in an immobilized vehicle.

Those stating that Trans people deserve to be fired or charged criminally for openly talking about self-defense because "it's threatening" are telling on themselves.
Cisgender violence is normalized in this country. We are surrounded by symbols of violence all day long ranging from Gadsden flags, Molon Labe and "Come & Take It" bumper stickers, as well as a wide range of social media posts featuring cis people advertising violence.

I just wanna circle back to this to talk about what reality looked like only a few decades ago.
I wasn't out as a kid, but a lot of people "knew" and it was one of the focal points for bullies. Getting physically attacked while teachers looked the other way was a pretty frequent occurrence.

Some of you have the wrong takeaway from information about Uvalde police. Some of you are mockingly saying "something something good guys with guns!"
The police are not the good guys and Uvalde basically shoved you, nose first, into the thing that marginalized communities have been saying for decades. The police are not there to protect you.

That moment when a judge laughs in your face as your antivaxx statements are being read back to you.
A reminder that this racist, Transphobic, Christian supremacist is spreading misinformation while waving the banner of progressivism and allyship. He is an infiltrator with the express goal of undermining security within our communities.
The "them" in this discussion are people who he claims are white anarchists who are somehow in league with the NRA.
The reality is that he's attempting to silence BBIPoC and Trans people who point out why he's wrong while also maligning them.

Last night, a younger patient arrived with abdominal pain, chest pain, and shortness of breath. While assessing, the patient began to appear more and more pale with each moment. "I tested + with two at home tested, but I have an IUD." VS=HR 150 BP 80/40

POCUS conducted by MD/PA team revealed fluid in the lower abdomen. At the same time, we established 3 IVs, ran labs, sprinted a runner to blood bank, and started prepping the patient in the ED for emergency surgery.
