I'd also like to address misreadings of the Bhutan PM's statement to @LaLibre. The PM suggested no change at all on Bhutan's position vis-à-vis Doklam. It is the opposite: he reaffirmed that, unless it has Indian's concurrence, Bhutan won't conclude any discussion with China... about Doklam.
It is equally clear that when the PM says Bhutan will reach a settlement with China in 1-2 meetings, he is referring to a settlement over the *non-Doklam* areas. Not the Doklam area.

2 years after reports that China has built 10 new villages on Bhutanese territory, Bhutan has finally responded: the villages “are not in Bhutan,” Bhutan PM Lotay Tshering told Libre Belgique, “We have said categorically that there is no intrusion.” lalibre.be/international/… 🧵 But the Bhutan government has not previously commented on those 10 villages. In Nov 2020 it denied reports of a single Chinese village (Pangda) in western Bhutan ndtv.com/world-news/chi… - but it’s said nothing till now about the 10 new villages built or discovered since then.

A 🧵about COVID management in Lhasa during the first 90+ days of lockdown, when officials put tens of 1000s of healthy people in sub-standard quarantine camps - a method now spreading across China. It summarises this article, which has more details: chinafile.com/reporting-opin… Today, movement is gradually being allowed in Lhasa after 100+ days of lockdown, and the situation is easing. But some areas are still locked down: rfa.org/english/news/t…. On average, 5 new cases were reported each day in Lhasa over the last month. So COVID has not disappeared.
