This would be an extraordinarily bad idea. A few years back I spent a lot of time researching the damage Snowden’s disclosures had done to intel agencies' work. The impact was absolutely real. A few examples to follow...
NSA and GCHQ both observed changes in suspects’ behaviour, as terrorists and criminals better understand the scope and scale of Western intelligence capacity.
For example: at least three al-Qaeda affiliates were known to have altered their communication methods. 2/

*THREAD* There is a strain of thinking – epitomised by @mehdirhasan in a recent MSNBC interview – that Muslims who carry out acts of violence are reported in the media as ideologically-driven terrorists and not as mentally ill. 1/
This is not true and here’s a few examples – just from recent years – to prove it. I’ve no doubt there are others. 2/

Germany and European immigration questions are back in the news. I happen to have some new research out today on asylum seeker or refugee Islamist plots launched in Europe between 2014 and 2017. Some of the findings to follow… (1/n)
44 refugees or asylum seekers have been involved in 32 Islamist plots in Europe since January 2014. They led to 814 injuries and 182 deaths. All perpetrators were men. These plots took place in 12 different countries, though Germany was most frequently targeted. (2/n)
