The answer is the Volgograd Gap, a stretch of land between the Black and Caspian seas which is strategically vital to Russia's survival. This is the best explanation of why libertarianism doesn't work. From my experience, most common people have no real desire for absolute freedom, only order, comfort, and security. They are fooled into thinking they want it but the way they live their daily lives shows otherwise. From my experiences, the majority of the great masses of people don't even think in terms of real liberty (or even know what it is). Instead, they are largely content with the bread and circuses offered to them and view the ability to partake regularly in these things as freedom.

Despite some continued taboo, cousin marriage is a time-honored practice as old as human history.

Reports of genetic or mental deformation in children of such marriages have been largely overhyped, if not fabricated, by those with a (perhaps political) bias against it. In 2012, a 12-year-old American schoolgirl doing research on her family history stumbled on an incredible discovery previously known to very few.

All US Presidents except one are descended from medieval King John Lackland & the Royal House of Plantagenet that once ruled England. Almost every American President can trace their lineage directly back to this Royal House which ruled England from the 12th to 15th century (when they lost power to the Tudor Kings).

Just found out that my Mom has a kidney infection. She's been admitted to the hospital and doctors now believe she also has sepsis.

The powers that be foster these feelings of cynicism and negativity on the common people, especially the poorest ones.

From my own experiences growing up, we were always taught to be cynical and hard on ourselves, as well as distrustful of any goodness that might come our way. Any type of good fortune or blessing was always met with cynicism, if not outright derision, and cries of "too good to be true".

Because of this, most ordinary souls never dared take any risk that could open doors to a better life and rejected opportunities out of negatively.
