The deft investigative journalist @DorotheeKellou (MA Arab Studies alum) on how she turned her MA thesis into a documentary film. She tells one story from the 2 million Algerian villagers that were forcibly removed by the French military in the 1950s. @ccasGU@georgetownsfs
She discusses the anxieties around how to get funding that doesn’t hijack the film and making a film that uncovers a silenced history but that might never get seen by the people in the film causing a double silencing.
