If the decision is taken to do this it’s because the Chief Medical Officer and Chief Scientific Advisor deem it to be absolutely essential and critical to protect health.

Thank you to everyone who has got in touch to ask about Brexit and my views on the question on a Confirmatory Vote etc, particularly ahead of today's Labour NEC meeting which will discuss our manifesto for the European elections.
