A lot has already been said, but there's a few points we'd like to add regarding the thread of misinformation published by a think-tank analyst about Patriot Front in Coeur d'Alene last weekend... Obviously, first of all, people reporting on fascist mobilizations (and especially police responses to them) should not be treating the police as a reliable source of information. Period. Citing them uncritically is ignorant and irresponsible.

Numerous antifascists working in the Portland area have seen reports from community members stating that last night (Thursday, May 6th), a group of 30+ Proud Boys was engaged as security for an undisclosed private evening event held at a NE Portland church. The Proud Boys reportedly patrolled the surrounding block from all evening, clearly drunk, shouting at each other and passers-by, shining flashlights people's homes, displaying weapons, threatening, and even spitting on people when approached or asked to stop.

One common firearm technique taught to police (and in most firearms classes) is called the "Failure to Stop" Drill, or "Mozambique Drill."
