While doing dishes after dinner tonight, my 10-yo approached me with tears in his eyes.
He said nothing as my heart was racing, trying to think of all the horrible possibilities.
Finally, he pulled an egg from behind his back. 1/6
We had been to the park earlier in the day and he & his friends had found what looked to be an abandoned next with one cracked egg and one complete egg.
He wanted to give that egg a shot at life and he hid it as he rode his scooter home and tried to carry on about his day. 2/6
