The KY Senate State and Local Government Committee is hearing HB 312, which bans out of state open records requests
wfpl.org/kentucky-house… The bill has been changed in a few ways: no longer creates a standardized open records form, out-of-state news outlets can make requests, but still allows the legislature to issue final rulings on requests for legislative records.

The KY House Judiciary Committee is about to hear SB 4, GOP Senate President Stivers' bill limiting no-knock search warrants, and HB 21, Democratic Rep. Attica Scott's bill banning no-knocks and creating other reforms.

Scott's bill is for discussion only and won't be voted on Judiciary Chair Ed Massey says Scott's bill, Breonna's Law for Kentucky, "realistically" doesn't have enough time to pass out of the legislature, but Stivers' has already passed out of the Senate.
