So uhhhhh it’s Mother’s Day, and the wine has been flowing. Unfortunately... or fortunately this has led to me stewing on our current predicament. LBJ says play. Shaq says pack it up...
If a vaccine won’t be readily available for 12-18months (could be wrong), why wouldn’t we cancel the season? Especially since any championship won this year will have a major asterisk and we don’t play for JUST the regular season. But Maybe that’s the #LastDance talking.

The idea for a tournament comes from the NBA’s constant issues revolving fan engagement/tv revenues etc. (1/11)
The core reason for all that is because the NBA went the opposite direction of college when it was struggling and instituted the merger ABA/NBA. They concluded that fans weren’t buying into teams and boring team basketball (2/11)

We were ready to open on the 14th but in the spirit of partnership, we are pushing it back a week to try and allow the @NBA sufficient time to respond.
Having been on the ground in China, we are sensitive to what the @NBA has been dealing with. (1/8)
This is why we are giving them additional time as our goal is to partner.
Regardless of the @NBA’s position, we will move forward. Therefore we will launch on Oct. 21st, a week from our original date and before the start of the @NBA season. (2/8)
