🧵 Now that puberty blockers will no longer be prescribed to gender-confused and gender-nonconforming children, we ask our colleagues—especially those in children’s publishing: what are your plans for the books published over the last few years aimed at this demographic? (1) These books claim that children can be ‘born in the wrong body’; that puberty blockers are risk-free and reversible; and that medication, hormones and surgery will alleviate feelings of distress around the physical changes brought on by adolescence. (2)
