1) We try to focus our twitter feed, debunking the Unionist Parties, promoting our Party & Elected Members, Social Justice issues and obviously the idea of Independence…

We try to stay out of any "Indy Infighting" as we see it as counterproductive and not advancing the cause… 2) So this twitter thread is one of the most awkward we have ever had to write.

Because, and especially in this community we have benefitted mightily from having had Alex Salmond as our Party Leader...

For a long time as our Local MP...

And for a shorter spell as our MSP...

1) Our chum @RishiSunak has made the 5 pledges in this photo. And at first glance it appears a reasonable plan... but if you look a little deeper... 2) Halving inflation - well according to the OBR and other financial think tanks that's going to happen anyway (even when @trussliz was PM) and without Gov't Intervention so thanks for nothing Rishi!

1) It's now becoming clear that Brexit was never going to save the Scottish Seafood Sector!

And that our Fishermen’s futures….. as expected…. Have been sacrificed on the altar of the wider UK/EU Trade Deal… 2) while the CFP was flawed Mr Park highlights areas here where it could have offered opportunities (trading in unused quota) which Scottish Fishermen are now denied by virtue of being an Independent Coastal State...

a long long🧵warning...

1) Well folks it's the Anniversary of Brexit today…. 3 years ago the Brexiteers were excitedly awaiting 23:00hrs as we would leave the EU at that point. 2) We couldn't leave at Midnight due to the time difference between the UK and the Continent, the fact that we even had to leave on the EU's timetable should have been a warning…

alas it was not heeded.

The difference between the Union and Independence explained... by Lions.

This 1st Lion is a Magnificent beast, he is guaranteed Shelter, Food and Healthcare... 1/7 This 2nd Lion is just as Magnificent a beast, but he is guaranteed nothing...

He takes shelter where he can find it...
He eats only when he kills...
His health is precarious... 2/7

Hi @NatashaC feel free to PM our branch to discuss this but...

The @ukhomeoffice is a fully reserved Gov't department so it's decision making is nothing to do with @scotgov.

It's also worth noting that the home office is funded by ALL UK taxpayers, including Scots. 1/6 There is at least one large hotel away up here in Peterhead which is currently closed to the public, under the control of the Home Office, currently being staffed by one of their outsourcing cronies, housing Immigrants.

Many towns in Scotland are also housing immigrants. 2.6

This has been tweeted a lot, and many have been quite unkind to Mr Walker.

We too wish that he didn't wait this long in his career before saying this on his way out. But it is hard not to feel some sympathy @CharlesWalkerMP and others like him... 1/4

Being Conservative is a legitimate outlook on life, it's not one we share, and one we will continue to oppose but it is legitimate.

But people who are truly Conservative no longer have a Party to vote for... 2/4

Gotta say it's nice to finally hear some sense from Richard Leonard...

Of course what he fails to tell everyone is that this is allowed to happen because Scotland's economy is ultimately controlled by Governments in far-away Cities.. 1/6

He should also know that "Mobile, Extractive Capital" as he puts it is a symptom of decades of neoliberalism (or Thatcherism if you prefer)...

The very outcomes written about in Britannia Unchained by @trussliz, @KwasiKwarteng, @DominicRaab' @pritipatel and @CSkidmoreUK 2/6

A long 🧵…

We should start this thread by saying that despite our many disagreements with @UKLabour that we quite admire @AngelaRayner.

We’ve said so before, but we like that someone from a normal background has made it so far in Politics. 1/20 But even someone like Angela, who we don’t doubt is in Politics for the right reasons, is capable of misinformation or what Donald Trump once referred to as “Fake News”…

Like this … 2/20

The real problem with @BorisJohnson's premiership is that he couldn't have anyone in his Cabinet more competent than himself.

Case in point the Rt Hon @grantshapps MP. Secretary of State for transport displaying a complete lack of Joined up thinking with his latest wheeze... 1/4 At first it seems totally reasonable, a law to protect cyclists seems like a sensible move for a Transport Secretary to consider... 2/4 Image

Ye hiv tae hand it tae @RealStephenKerr, if nothin, else he is at least consistent.

Let's look at his claims... 1/8

"It'll Tear our Country Apart" weel if he's referring tae the the UK as "oor Country" then wi'd concede he his a point (but that's also the point)

If he's referrin' tae Scotland then Independence is the ONLY way to put the constitutional question ahin' us by unswerin' it... 2/8

We applaud @LabourMercedes for saying this, her tweet is true.

But the fact that a party funded by 1/3rd of UK Billionaires has somehow managed to convince working people that they are a better bet than the @UKLabour Party is truly astonishing! 1/4

We do wonder if Mercedes discussed this position with @AnasSarwar? And how it was received.

The image below is at odds with her position, and would seem at odds with @ScottishLabour's position given they have now done deals to put Tories in Power. 2/4

This is shameful, there are a few reasons why it is shameful so this may be more than one tweet...

We should start by saying that despite some very obvious political differences with @TheLabourParty_ we quite like @AngelaRayner... 1/7

We @SNPPeterhad would like to extend a hearty welcome to @BorisJohnson as he deigns to visit Scotland once again for the @ScotTories Conference.

We often talk about the Mainstream Media "Gaslighting" the populace but what do we mean by that?

Well let's take a look at a recent example...

This was tweeted by @magnusllewellin of @thetimes... 1/6 Just looking at the headline (as most people never look past them these days) you'd think things were awful in Scotland, and better in England!

Wow!

This is just unbelievable, @Gilfeather10 was already out of touch when he could still get his coupon onto our TV's! And it seems years in the wilderness (or the Evening Express if you prefer) haven't clued him in at all.

Kudos to our colleague @KirstySNP for calling this out. We're glad she has and we hope more will follow suit.

And to those who cast doubt on the SNP's commitment to Independence, stuff like this is why our elected members can't spend 100% of their day as campaigners for Indy.
