🧵 on #DamarHamlin#BillsMafia Based on what we saw it is likely that Hamlin went into Ventricular Tachycardia/Fibrillation. This is a fast, irregular & highly unorganized electrical rhythm of the heart that precedes a cardiac arrest. The question is what triggered the VT/VF 1/
Fortunately ACLS protocols were initiated on field. CPR was started and reports have confirmed that an AED was used, the latter of which was used to “shock” his heart back into a normal rhythm. He was then moved to UC where he’s intubated and sedated per protocol #BillsMafia 2/

Here’s what I’m looking forward to in sports in 2023: A wide open NFL where anyone could win the Superbowl come February…the sales of Man Utd and Liverpool and a new era for 2 giants of soccer…The Top 4 race in the Prem, can Arsenal hang on, can Newcastle continue their form 1/
How many will Haaland score…Can Mbappe overcome the disappointment of the WC to win the CL or will Pep finally win it with City…What will his new era in tennis without Federer look like…Could the Lakers trade LeBron to a contender…How will Aaron Judge and the Yankees fare 2/

The reality for Man Utds new owners is that to win consistently they have to compete with 2 sovereign funds in the Prem and another in Europe. The cost to compete to win, not just Top 4 has gone up considerably so deep pockets are needed. There are caveats though 1/
The most important thing I want in a new owner is the will to win. As a fan that’s what I want. I don’t want to hear about business model & self sustainment. Utd can generate enough revenue themselves for 85% but need fuck you money for the last 15% to go from Top 4 to champs 2/

Timeline of events: April 2021 Super League collapse, May 2nd 2021,OT protest & Liverpool game postponed, June 18 2022 Arnold admits the Glazers need outside investment, Aug 17 Bloomberg and @Malachians report Glazers looking to sell minority stake, Nov 22 Glazers look to sell 1/
Clearly after the Super League it was evident that no cavalry with bags of cash was coming. Utd then spent the last year into this summer looking for outside minority investors but realized no one wanted to get into bed with the Glazers if they still were majority controllers 2/

An acute coronary syndrome is most simply defined as signs, symptoms and pathology associated with impaired blood supply to the heart. Thus, there is a heart attack in progress and threatening a heart attack. See image 2/

Thoughts on #Eriksen the morning after...Really good news to hear reports coming out that he is doing well. A tragedy was averted due to early recognition and intervention, two things that are key. With the heart and the brain, every second counts. #ENGCRO#EURO2020
This summer do take the time to learn proper CPR techniques, learn what number to call for help (9-1-1) here in the US, and recognize the signs and symptoms of a heart attack or stroke.

Thread on #ChristianEriksen Based on the tv coverage it is likely that Eriksen went into Ventricular Tachycardia/Fibrillation. This is a fast, irregular and highly unorganized electrical rhythm of the heart that precedes a cardiac arrest.
Fortunately his team and the ref quickly alerted the medical staff and ACLS protocols were initiated. On tv we saw CPR and an AED being used, the latter of which was used to “shock” his heart back into a normal rhythm.
