Only two more books left on my initial research list for Protect The Sacred! I've been collecting piles of books to sort through and source for my Folklore-inspired game and I do want it to go further than that. I know I have friends and followers around the world and it'd be nice to be able to ask people to email in a favorite recipe from home or story.

Remember that rad as hell Afro-fantasy book I talked about on Barking Points? I finally got a copy of my own. I love how this book uses storytelling and song, basically oral tradition, to make the world feel so big and diverse. This is definitely not one of those "Africa as a Monoculture" fantasies.

Working on some footer graphic assets for the pdf of my comic book inspired game.

This Monday is indigenous people's day, and while I'm going to spend that day highlighting indigenous organizations and groups, if you want to directly support me, an indigenous game designer, the best way to do that right now is through my amazon.

Board games have an issue with racism.
kickstarter.com/projects/12811… Let's roll that back a little bit. Board games have an issue using cultures as props. In my experiences as a person of color and a game designer it is not uncommon for me to see designers misuse, appropriate, or even design on flawed if not plain wrong information.
