Good morning from the Georgia state Capitol, where the MAGA-controlled state election board intends to push through eleven new election rules over the objections of election officials, members of their own party, and the Sec of State.

We’re 25 days out from voting. #gapol #seb Image It’s a full house. Lots of election officials and many, many members of the public.

The chairman is asking for decorum in anticipation of a fiery meeting.

A thorough SEB investigation of Fulton county was completed over a year ago. No fraud was found.

But conspiracy theorists aren’t persuaded by facts.

And Trumpers only care about winning. No matter the cost 1/ Their strategy is clear

Hour 7 of the GA state election board meeting. The bd is now considering whether to pass a rule that could result in a delay or denial or election certification.

All 159 counties in GA have to certify results before the state can certify the election and send electoral votes. Image Chair is now reading letters from various ga representatives and senators who submitted written comment on this rule.

Every single letter was opposed to the bill.

And they'll be in a better position to move elector-choosing authority to Republican-controlled state legislatures.

Think allegations of #votersupression in Georgia are overblown?

Let me tell you about the shameful performance I saw by Ga House Republicans this morning when SB463 was discussed in committee. SB463 revises the GA election code, and passed on a party line vote.

A thread. The following amendment was offered this morning for the first time.

It precludes state and local election officials from sending Georgians absentee ballot applications-- something that helps Georgians vote safely during a pandemic, and generally increases voter participation.
