One of the biggest problems with hiring freelancers is the total lack of accountability

Even when incentives appear aligned, it doesn't always produce an efficient outcome.

Many don't seem to care if a bridge is burned or future opportunities are lost Example: we're only paying this dev after his project is fully completed...you'd think this would mean he would be incentivized to do it as fast as possible

Instead, getting this completed has been like pulling teeth. What should've taken 2 weeks has taken 3 months.
