Now that the jig is up, let's take a closer look at Darla at GYR1, the too-earnest defender of Amazon's workplace munificence. (1/6) Tungstene digital forensics software shows that something's funky about Darla's ears and teeth. As we've seen before, GAN (generative adversarial network) deepfakes have a problem with ears and teeth. (2/6)

Great article from @arawnsley at the Daily Beast on phony Middle East experts (even phonier experts than usual). I made a small contribution to this article, and it was a fun one. 1/9 I was asked to run a Tungstene analysis of this handsome young man, Joseph Labba, who, according to his bio at the Post Millennial, is "an adviser to NGOs regarding matters state violence." The idea was that the face may have been as fake as the credentials. 2/9

.@DuitsyWasHere and I took a second look at this photo of the ATACMS-look-alike test (META-TACMS?) from last month using Tungstene. So, exciting! The President of These United States tweeted out an image that appears to be a crappy smart-phone photograph of a classified intelligence briefing. But how can we be sure? With Tungstène!(1/11) (2/11)What is Tungstène? It's a photo analysis software package developed by the brilliant Roger Cozien, good friend of @CNS_Updates. He was kind enough to share his knowledge with us just this week. Here's an interview with him: bit.ly/2LlIdAS

Piggy-backing on this, a few words and pictures on Kim's smartphone, as seen in state-run media (1/10) Kim was first spotted with a smartphone in February 2013, at a meeting of top security advisers. The phone is believed to be an HTC model. It is not blurred. (2/10) news.com.au/technology/wha…
