This morning's educational opportunity is in reviewing the span, so to speak, of completely inadequate knowledge of physics and engineering compounded with inability to percieve what's right on the video (obvious fail of ship's systems) and speculation about it being deliberate.
Extrapolate to just about anything going on today. And imagine how that plays out in larger failures we are sure to experience. And in survival skills, especially if the internet is unavailable to resource. I'm amazed at how much "don't even know what you don't know" runs wild.

A friend who is a municipal arborist just called to tell me about a guy who cut down 32 big mature trees on his neighbor's NJ property to get a better view of NYC. He hired a guy who hired another guy. Cut them down and left the debris there. The fine per tree is $1000 so the 1/2/ guy propably thought he was going to just pay a $32k fine. But the arborist wrote violations to all 3 parties, 96 in all (by hand, took him 12 hours) and there's a provision requiring the replanting of like trees "of the same size." And it's on an inaccessible by road

I now know all of the following.
This is a bio attack from China, which has the cure, which is why they recovered quickly.
China is lying, millions are dead.
This is a US bioweapon we brought to China.
This is further dystopic control, a
test to lock everyone away and institute martial law including forced adult vaccines (@BillGates - you didn't help with your "digital vaccine").
This is a true pandemic, which only extensive testing and distancing can slow. It could kill huge numbers otherwise.
