Winter the gift of the believer📚

It was narrated that Ibn Mas’ûd said:
“Welcome to winter! Blessings descend in it, its nights are long to pray in, and its days are short to fast in.”

Winter is the season of the believer 1/16 The ulema say this because the nights are long for prayer and the days are short for fasting.

The worship of winter was so beloved to Muadh bin Jabal (RA) for instance that he said on his deathbed: “I weep because I will miss the thirst I felt when I fasted…2/16

There are a pocket of muslims here that are referencing some of my past behaviour to which I feel i need to give a clarification. I’ve had a change to how I engage with Twitter these past months where now im:

1) Not addressing salafis or engaging in any sectarian conflicts. 2) Not attacking the refuters nor defend who they are refuting.

3) Not attacking feminist muslimas nor engaging them.

I’m doing most of this for different reasons. Debating salafis for instance is too time consuming and ultimately there are many brothers already
