Please read this thread untill end. In beginning of the operations nearly 446 millitary special trains carrying all logistical equipment as well as the troops and ammunition were mobilized towards the western borders.

In this thread we will talk about chinese version of battle of rezangla pass of the 1962 india china war based on PLA millitary history. So operations on the western sector of 1962 war come under the kangxiwa millitary command of Xinjiang millitary region . It was further divided into 4 sectors .
1. Tianwendian Defence Area .
2.Heweitan Defence Area .
3.Kongka Pass Defence Area
4.Ali Defence Area

Mysterious PLA ZANG ZI 419 (Tibetan force 419) was specially trained force set up to to fight in Himalayas. Roughly equivalent to strength of 1 indian div-10300 men .This force was responsible for destruction of 7th brigade under brig dalvi in battle of nam-ka-chu in 1962 war .

Thread 🧵 on battles of sindh and Balmer sector .
In sindh sector Indian army made greatest gain territory wise in entire western front . The Indian army held territory more than 50km inside the international border yielding 5000+sqkm.

The operations in Balmer sector were to be carried out by 11th infantry division on 3 fronts.
1. Northern subsecor - mithrau-mankau -saideo-relnor -kitlor -Jamo.
2.centralsubsector- the objective was to march astride the khokrapur railwayline and capture naya chor.

Battle of fortress hilli was an extremely important battle to secure of crucial enemy defensive point and continue penitrating further deep into east pakistan towards bogra town.

The 1962 indo china war has been viewed repeatedly one of the most humiliating chapter in indian war history. The war begin with Chinese attack on namkachu valley on 20th octomber 1962 . The PLA refers this war as a self defensive counter attack and a punitive expedition against nehrus forward policy which meant to take strategic heights by evicting the chinese and setup defensive posts .

On 4th August 1965 pakistan launched operation gibralter in order to incite rebellion in kashmir. The operation failed miserably and most of the Indian army either killed or captured most of gibralter force. Here are extracts of interviews of some captured pakistani captains. 1/n
