Now that you've been invited for an interview with the admission committee, you're a step closer to securing your full funding
Reason: they invite those that rank high in their pool who can be admitted
Here's how you should prepare
Review everything you wrote in your statement
of purpose
You should be able to give details about the research experience or work you claimed to have being involved with
If you mentioned your interest in working with any faculty member, review their works and be sure why you want to work with them. You may not know details

I observe in many SOPs I've reviewed that many find it difficult to answer the question
"Why are you interested in our school"
Many write in a general form
"... because your school have the top professors, facilities, etc."
That answer is not specific enough. Anyone can write
that about any school
You want to write things specific about the school or department that got you interested
It may be research facilities/set up/methodologies unique to that department
It may also be the research works of a professor of interest or the research grants/funds

This is why this presidential election tribunal is very important, and BATists need to pay attention
However the case goes, the court will be setting a precedent, and the consequences for Nigeria will be significant
Follow me, don't tune off
It's either the court will say it
is right or wrong for a drug trafficker to run for president. That will extend to all manner of criminal offenses too
It's either the court will say it's okay or not okay to commit perjury, and still get cleared
It's either the court will say it's fine or not for a candidate

On Assistantships
When applying to US schools, that is what you want to get.
It is technically the scholarship you're searching for
They come majorly in two forms (I've seen a 3rd form not so common)
They are Teaching Assistantship and Research Assistantship
Thread
As a Teaching Assistant, you have a teaching responsibility which you must fulfill. Usually you teach undergraduate students, and/or grade their homeworks and exams. Your work is 20hrs per week on the max.
As a Research Assistant, you're fully devoted to research.More like you're

Program coordinator of Mathematics and Statistics Dept of University of Idaho reached out to me few days ago
I shared information about assistantships in their department recently and I was told many of you flooded them with enquiry emails (I guess it was too much for them)
The
coordinator claimed the link I shared contained some inaccurate information, then gave me another link and requested that I help update my tweet with new link/delete
Going through the new link, it happens to still be the same department's website & navigating to assistantship

Police brutality will reduce if the officers know they'll be punished for their crimes
How do we know when they've committed crimes?
Provide them with body camera & for every encounter they must record. Let their be a punishment for not recording
Every complaints against them
must be investigated. Citizens should have a way of making reports easily; making phone videos of officers breaking the law encouraged for documentation
Police officers should routinely take courses on human interactions and be subjected to drug and psychiatric tests; some of

It's also possible for the department or a prospective advisor to pay the application fee for you. That's why you should invest time in securing a prospective advisor

Controlling your emotions during your visa interview is very important
One of the things that can throw you off balance is seeing many ahead of you get rejected
It can get worse if you happen to appear before the same VO that's been issuing the rejection
You may not help not
looking at other people being interviewed, but you can control how you internalize whatever you hear and see so as to control your emotions
Tell yourself over & over again that you've done the right thing, prepared for the questions & you're getting the visa (of course prepare)

You're a Nigerian graduate with some time to spare
Here are ways you can make a difference in coming year 2022
1. Visit a public secondary school & volunteer to help
They need help in their laboratory, library, social clubs etc
I used to help a Physics laboratory in an Ibadan
school. I have someone who still gives himself to that
Help them with JETS club, debate, coding, reading club etc
2. Start a community service
Everything you can do in school, you can do in the community. You can add programs to benefit all age groups
For example you can

Here's how to change your course regardless of background & still secure funding for graduate school
You must have heard of those who received funding for data science without background in computer science
Or probably heard of those receiving funding in public health without
a background in health sciences
Yes it's possible to switch and I'll be brief in my explanation
Apart from your desire for the new course, you must have proofs of your passion
Many who switched started learning something about this new course. Some took free online courses,

How to get your transcript from University of Ibadan in 1 day
Did I say you can get your transcript from UI in one day?
Okay, let me be serious. I've seen those who got it very fast, maybe 2 days
Alright, I have at least two proven ways to get it processed quickly & I mean it
1. Have an insider and be ready to give appreciation
This is the most common method that is being used there. Many people have used this method and it has been working
There are different Mr and Mrs in that office that are always willing to help. Speak to that lovely woman

Shepherd Series 4
Psalms 23:2b
....he leadeth me beside the still waters.
We have seen that the sheep is the responsibility of the shepherd, and he delights in the all-round wellbeing of the sheep.
Now David says "he leads me..."
The shepherd does not have a problem leading
the sheep, He takes delight in leading them. Infact he is always doing it at every point in time.
What this implies is that the sheep does not lack the leadings of the shepherd and he has the ability to hear from the shepherd. The believer always has the leadings of the Spirit.

This is why I place emphasis on science when I advise against PhD in Nigeria
I believe it's feasible for those in arts and humanities to do something very good if they have a good supervisor
I believe they don't really need the sophisticated facilities needed by the sciences
Asides from the wickedness in the heart of some lecturers, one reason why students spend 10 years etc is unavailability of resources to use
For example, my friend during our Msc program in UI had to send his sample to South Africa for analysis
