अगर आपके पास जप माला नही है तब भी आप "करमाला" का प्रयोग करके जप कर सकते हैं। बस इसमें देवी और देवताओं के लिए करमाला करने की विधि अलग है।
जैसे नीचे दिये गए चित्र में देव मंत्रों का जप करने की करमाला दी गयी है

1 शक्ति मंत्र या देवी मंत्र की करमाला करने के लिए आपको नीचे दिए गए क्रम में जप करना होता है इसीतरह दस बार जप करने से 100 की संख्या पूरी हो जाएगी, 8 की संख्या पूरी करने के लिए पुनः दूसरे चित्र के अनुसार जप करें।

इस तरह मंत्र की 108 संख्या आप माला के अभाव में भी पूरी कर सकते हैं।
