This is just bonkers.

A small selection of staffing shortage stories across a range of industries and countries from the last few days.

Omg - I just spoke to the wonderful @carolvorders on @LBC!

Feeling a little bit star struck tbh - she’s an inspiration.

Can’t believe her first husband is from Whelley! 😂 (like 5 mins down the road)

She was lovely, down to earth & thought I posed an excellent question…
🧵1) Why are the Government doing NOTHING to clean the air in our schools to improve absence rates?

Why aren’t they acting on their own findings from the Bradford study which showed the installation of HEPA filters reduced Covid absence rates by 20%?

I didn’t join Twitter to talk trans

But I can’t abide bullying & discrimination

I have a simple philosophy- treat others how you would like to be treated

Always stand up for minorities/people who are disempowered

Their lives are hard enough bc of society prejudice…

🧵1 So empower them. Be extra kind. Even if just with a smile or chat.

The world is such a dark and depressing

I have no power to stop the genocide in Gaza

I can’t make people see how SARS-Cov-2 is still killing and maiming 1000s every week

Every week I go to the same post office. It’s owned by a Muslim family. Husband, wife & teen daughter. They are lovely. They have a white girl working for them who has done for the past 9 years since leaving school. She is lovely too. I tell them I go here bc it’s my favourite🧵1

The dad is always smiling, happy, chatty with his customers. He knows everyone’s name. The place is like a hub of the community. It’s quite a deprived area. Some of the customers seem vulnerable.

He always asks how they are or has a kind word.

I don't know what's going on but nearly four years in:

•60 Minutes is running an airborne special

•The Sun is now warning about blood vessel damage in kids.

It's like we were in a time machine.

The Sun.

Here is the letter to my MP @lisanandy on the importance of indoor air quality in schools.

Feel free to use any of it to write to your MP.

“Dear Lisa,

I hope you are well. I am writing to you about the importance of indoor air quality in schools.

1) On 4th October, @WHO tweeted:

“To reduce the spread of #COVID19 in schools, ensure good ventilation by opening windows and doors when possible and safe, or providing adequate mechanical ventilation….

Kids are being told to go school with SARS-CoV2.

Kids who mask are bullied and ostracised.

Tell me how these kids are meant protect themselves if they are extremely clinically vulnerable or something in their family is?

1)
I’m specifically thinking of my friend who has one child in Y9 and a daughter with cancer, currently undergoing chemotherapy.

My friend Nicky of #sockgate

How many families in a similar situation?

When I was in my early 20s, a GP in his 40s told me I needed to check my breast for lumps. I had gone in about something completely different. I was just like, erm ok then. I lied on the patient bed and he performed an examination.

Felt a bit odd.

1) I told my bf at the time who agreed it was strange.

He told all the women he worked with at school.

THE WOMEN BLAMED ME. I should have known better.

NB - the white, male, doctor in his 40s was NOT at fault.

It was all me - the young, naive woman.

I send people videos of scientists saying how Covid causes long term, irrevocable brain damage. Even in “mild” cases.

They completely ignore me and continue treat me as nuts.

I just don’t get it.

I never will.

I tried to tell my lovely friend who used to be worried about SARS2 that maybe she should get a CR box for daughters’ classroom.

She shuts me down. Starts to get cross. Said she can’t go back to worrying about Covid.

Toxic positivity everywhere.

Went for tea with kids, parents, niece, brother & SIL last night
Had a proper laugh
I masked up to order drinks & go to the loo
Nobody else anywhere near us
Posting this to show it’s not all or nothing
1 🧵) Image I have seen many people who used to mask just give up all together bc it’s too hard all the time

When really making small adaptations can make a big difference to our risk of catching SARS-CoV-2

Inside the restaurant was packed. Not a chance I would have taken AURA off there

This study by Shamez Ladhani & others suggests the COVID-19 response is wrong. Children are at as much risk of LC from reinfection as the are from primary infection. jpeds.com/article/S0022-… If approx 10% get Long Covid with each reinfection, what is the cumulative impact of infection over time?

I’m not bothering with my seatbelt anymore. There’s no end to car crashes in sight and we can’t be expected to wear them forever. In fact, I’m going to start driving at 80 mph, full pelt, into a brick wall every morning to build up my immunity to car crashes.

Just thinking the appalling coverage of SARS-CoV-2 by MSM.

I was interviewed by @SkyNews last year. On about Covid in schools. The interviewer kept asking me about if I was concerned about SARS2 causing educational disruption 1)🧵 I said something like, “kids can catch up. I am more worried about the devastating long term health impact on kids. Brain damage, damage to the immune system, multiple organ damage, micro clots etc” 2)
