Ok this WASN’T me but when I was a junior in college I made the catastrophic mistake of underestimating the athleticism of crabs and about 300 crabs got loose in the basement of the biology building and it was 100% my bad This video is giving me real flashbacks.

Weeks later, I’d be in the middle of John Finnerty’s lectures & a crab would scuttle across the classroom and I’d snatch it and chuck it in a Tupperware on my desk because this happened so often.

Someone tell Justin Scace I’m sorry

In response to the whole “women get fewer followers” situation, here’s a thread of women I think everyone should be following.

#1 @hood_naturalist
She’s funny as hell, loves birds, is a passionate science communicator &speaks against racism, pointing out the bullshit she sees. 2) @1NativeSoilNerd I just met Lydia yesterday after having followed her for a while on here. She’s a gd inspiration. She studies how we can use plants to restore areas wrecked by mining. She’s also an imp. voice in Native American rights. I’ve already learned so much from her.

Ok I need to tell you all a story with highs and lows, horror and joy. It all transpired since 5pm. You ready? Here we go.

I went to get squid from the airport today. I have done this many times, it’s easy peasy. Sure it was pouring but squid are already wet who cares. I get to the cargo bay where I pick up the squid. I bang on the door, no one answers. It says the buzzer has moved outside. I search in the dim light and the rain through puddles but it’s nowhere to be found. Two totally wet socks lager, I find it, buzz it, nobody answers.
