I remember getting in big trouble in my conservative Christian home if I said “goddamnit”. We were taught that saying the word God in this way breaks the 2nd commandment and is “using the Lord’s name in vain”.

I know that anecdotally sexual misconduct and predatory behavior happens in every denomination, but I’d sure be interested to know how the ordination of women and the teachings around human sexuality correlate to its prevalence.

1. Assumption of Malign Intent:

2. Distrust:
“every idea or statement by them is wrong, or proposed for dishonest reasons”
