I have been a supporter of Tommy Robinson for many years because not only was he right to have spoken up when he did, but because he was brave to do so.

When he asked me to speak at his freedom rallies, I accepted without question.

I'll explain why:

It may be hard to see or understand from the outside, but the political consensus in Britain is still very tightly controlled by the rules set by the Blairite Labour establishment. Tommy is rendered by them as a totemic evil because he dared expose the flaws of multiculturalism.

James wants America to be a kind of Kantian idealist state where the normal rules of human society don't apply. This is a fiction; America is not a purely ideological construct. If it was, why assign it a geographic name? Why call it a nation? Americans would be from anywhere. Ironically, James is guilty of doing that which he accuses others of: he is mystifying the issue. In attempting to extract a coherent line of logic from the half-baked proto-liberalism of the American founding, he is amplifying out of context and out of scale anything useful.

It is fascinating the different approach to justice that the Germanic tribes had compared to the ancient Near East and Mediterranean. The Near East/Med took the approach that people could not be made virtuous and therefore had to be terrorised into obedience. The Germanics were just basically decent people who were all well-habituated into good customs. This is according to their enemies, the Romans. The problem, Mr Leavitt, is that there is no such thing as "black Aragorn". Tolkien describes Aragorn as having pale skin, long hair, and green eyes. This character does not match that description, and is transparently a skinsuit for your wacky leftist ideology. We won't have it Aragorn is a mythical character. If this "doesn't exist" to you, then you don't need him represented as something he is not. If he does exist, then he should be represented as he is; he isn't a product on an assembly line, he's something unique.

The reason they label them "right wing death squads" is that the concept of a death squad (a team tasked with eliminating ideological enemies) is a fundamentally left-wing idea. They don't hate the idea of death squads, they hate the idea of the right also having them. Possibly the most famous example was the state-ordered massacre of the Romanovs. Whether you like the Russian monarchy or not, you can't possibly approve of this.
