Let me try explain rather simply & intuitively how, contra most economic teaching, money printing does not-and cannot-raise overall standard of living-in fact it does just the opposite. And I don't mean the notoriously unreliable and shitty metric GDP, I mean the real thing.
1/n What we call the economy is just A and B exchanging goods and services. Both are better off through this act, that is, enjoy a higher standard of living. The exchange can happen directly or roundabout by the means of tokens (money) -A exchanges with C for money, pays B.

Things government MUST NOT do to revive the economy:

Print money.
Spend more.
Lower interest rate by fiat.
Restrict imports.
Impose new shit.
Form a high powered committee of highly credentialed idiots who'll predictably recommend above. You can't revive useful production* by debasing money. Yet this is basically the main tool of greedy clueless pols who have run the economy into mud. That inflation impoverishes is everyone's personal experience -yet they tell us that in aggregate it is a wonderful stimulus.
