Weekly Roundup!
Its been a funny week, so todays roundup will be short.
Let's see what everyone has been up to:
🟠 Big Idea
The big idea I've been thinking about this week is mobility.
Studies show that the number one predictor of longevity is your ability to get off the ground without using your hands.
I struggle with this. Focusing on mastering it this year.

10 Good Writing Habits
1. When still a child, make sure you read a lot of books. Spend more time doing this than anything else.
2. When an adult, try to read your own work as a stranger would read it, or even better, as an enemy would.

Peter Drucker coined the term "Knowledge Worker" in 1959.
“The knowledge worker cannot be supervised closely or in detail,” said Drucker “He must direct himself.”
But how?
Work was shifting from manual labor towards cognitive work, with individuals possessing skills that couldn't be broken down into repetitive motions.
From the factory to the office building.
You could no longer just tell people what to do.

Today is the last day of the year to set goals for 2023.
Use this OKR framework to better define what you want to achieve, and maximize your chances for success:
OKR = Objectives and Key Results
Objective describes the desired end state (goal).
Key Results describe how to get there (lead measures + mini-goals).
This results in big goals paired with short term actions.

Building in public - day 2!
After an overwhelming response to yesterdays question (thank you!) I've made the changes and am starting to feel really good about the direction of this book cover.
Which is your favorite?
Please RT for max input!
Numbers 1 and 2 are cleaned up versions of yesterdays favorites.
No. 3 is an attempt to blend the 2 by adding a tree element.
No. 4 took a different direction, pairing the new font from No. 2 (which I really like), with a stylized symbol in place of the tree. Looks modern.

Weekly Roundup!
I wrapped up an emergency project this week.
It's not what I'd planned to do, but was what I had to do.
A reality of business is that when the call comes in you answer.
Didn't have a lot of time to engage, but still spotted some high quality work.
Here it is:
🟠 Big Idea
This one got me, as I've used that hook a few times.
It’s a little tongue in cheek and works well.
If a proven hook gets more eyes on the thread you slaved over, is it wrong?
I think its not click bait if it delivers on the promise. What do you think?
