I'd like to address the present controversy surrounding my support of the Canadian Freedom Convoy 2022. I hope this thread clears up the lies and rumours spreading about me. A large portion of the population want to end lockdowns/mandates.Both vaxxed & unvaxxed want to follow in the footsteps of other countries with high vax rates (UK, Scandinavia, etc) who have dropped nearly all Covid restrictions.

AD Tom Jenkot reached out to me last year about this. The idea: Let an artist choose 4 MtG cards they wanted to illustrate most, "carte blanche", total freedom to do what they wanted... For an illustrator, it doesn't get better than this. Dream commission. For me, whether the cards fit together or not wasn't so much a concern; what I really wanted to do with "my" secret lair was tell as story. So let's begin the tale, starting with the first artwork...

PROCESS THREAD- Throne of Eldraine Key Art. Mood goal: dark fairytale. The brief initially asked for one focal element: a central red apple with a single bite shaped like the Planeswalker symbol. I knew right away that was going to be challenging... (1/8) Here is the first sketch sent. Witches? check. Knights? Yep. Dark forest? cool. Faeries whisking away a poisoned apple from the hand of a princess? Ok. Problem though... how do I include the Planeswalker logo in there? How do I make it look like a bite out of an apple? (2/8)
