I know this is a foreign concept to most folks, but we scientists on university faculties – especially conservation/ecology types – generally do NOT do things "for the money". 1/n #sciencemoney When I am awarded a grant, that money goes to creating a position for me to hire a grad student or post-doc to manage the project.
