Why should those who support the separation of districts for administrative convenience oppose the separation of states for the same administrative convenience? (2/4)

India is not made up of states. States were formed by India. In 1956, the States Reorganization Act and the 7th Constitutional Amendment Act came into force to accommodate the formation of linguistic states. Potti Sriramalu died after fasting for 56 days to create a separate Andhra state by bifurcating Madras province with a Telugu-speaking population.
