Buhari lost election in 2011 and hundreds of Nigerians were killed because of that. Nobody accused him of insurrection. The Buhari faction of the APC were actually the people that started the rumor of the interim government. It all started during the naira redesign crisis that caused acute cash crunch. Tinubu went to Ogun state to attack Buhari for plotting to scuttle his presidential ambition. The APC governors went to Supreme Court to challenge the policy and governor Elrufai held a treasonable press conference to announce that Nigerians should continue to use the old notes.
