Facts of the 190 million pounds/Al Qadir Trust case that Imran Khan has just been convicted in.
Imran Khan has been handed a 14 year prison sentence and his wife has been given a 7 year jail sentence. This thread will lay down all the facts.
🧵
There is little doubt that Imran Khan is being targeted because he had a falling out with the military establishment but was he actually guilty of the crimes he has been convicted of?
Here is a timeline of facts of the case:

Busting Propaganda and Zionist Talking Points.
We are starting a new series that seeks to bust propaganda and respond to popular talking points about Israel and Palestine with facts, evidence and academic sources.
Myth number 1:
Hamas started the war on October 7th
🧵
Western media reported 'October 7th' as an "unprovoked attack" abut the declaration of war did not happen on October 7th, 2023, it happened on November 2nd, 1917, when the Balfour Declaration robbed 94% of the population of Palestine of their political rights.

Zindagi Tamasha: Of Narrow Lanes and Narrower mindsets
A video goes viral, is taken out of context, the man behind it is threatened and his life turns upside down, this is the story of Zindagi Tamasha, and the story of Sarmad Khoosat trying to release Zindagi Tamasha.

They do say life imitates art.
The Youtube version may begin with a bittersweet message from the creator but once the movie starts, you forget about the controversies, and Sarmad's Magnum Opus takes center stage.

What happened to Shireen Mazari is a tragedy but other PTI folks jumping ship should come as no surprise to anyone.
Imran Khan abandoned all the ideology driven workers of PTI and relied on the Establishment giving him electables to become PM.
This was always going to happen.🧵
Founding member of PTI Akbar S. Babar was sidelined by Imran Khan after he raised questions about the foreign funding the party was receiving and corruption within PTI.
Retired Justice Wajihuddin Ahmad was made to resign from PTI because he raised questions on PTI's funding.

Why is the media not standing up against state fascism?
PTI and the Establishment curbed all dissent on the media and tried their best to destroy institutions like Dawn and Geo.
Dawn is also now not as brave as they used to be because of how much they suffered.
If an independent media was allowed to operate, dissent and criticism was encouraged, channel owners were not put in prison on trumped up charges, there would have been media in Pakistan capable of standing up to the state fascism, that would have helped PTI today.

Let me tell you a story, a story of Pakistan, a story being written by some, a story where Justice Umar Ata Bandial should be lauded for standing up against the Establishent g for the rights of a Civilian Prime Minister and refusing to be a paid stooge of the Army.
A story where the courts are standing up for the sanctity of the courts - how can a cilivian politician be arrested from the premises of the courts? How can he be manhandled by the paramilitary forces? No Pakistani court or judge would ever watch this happen on their premises!

Nothing I'd like more than the role of the Establishment to finish in Pakistan. Pakistan's fundamental problem is military intervention in politics but the cold hard truth of the matter is that PTI got played last night. This is what happens when you put novices/bhanjas in charge
Military buildings with little strategic importance were left open for mobs to attack.
If I got screenshots of PTI whatsapp groups, do you think the military didn't know their plans?
They knew what they were going to do, and who was leading them, they let them do it.

The Legal Case:
1. 190 million pounds seized by the UK Government were returned to Malik Riaz by the PTI Government
2. Malik Riaz then gave massive land allotment to Imran Khan's Al Qadir University, which has only 35 students.
3. An audio also leaked of Farah Gogi
1/3
allegedly asking for a diamond ring for Bushra Bibi.
4. NAB sent multiple notices to Imran Khan but he did not appear in the proceedings for this case.
The Political Case:
1. Imran Khan blames General Faisal Naseer for the assassination atempt on him.

Since the video () came out two days ago, the question of Imran Khan's financial integrity has dominated Twitter discourse, it has also led to some counter-arguments from PTI supporters.
Here is a thread that addresses everything🧵
Is Imran Khan corrupt?
The first layer of arguments in the video was that Imran Khan is surrounded by corrupt individuals.
PTI, like PML-Q and other King's parties before it, was made using people from PML-N and PPP - if these two parties are corrupt how are individuals whitewashed when they join PTI?

Explaining everything for those w/o context:
1. What are you seeing?
The Establishment trying to cut ImranKhan down to size
2. Why are you seeing it?
Because the Establishment and IK had a falling out in Nov 2021 over the appointment of General Nadeem Anjum as DG-ISI
1/n 🔋
3.What was Imran Khan's issue appointing him?
Imran Khan wanted to keep General Faiz as DG ISI till the Elections because he was the man in charge for all the political engineering for IK. The plan was to appoint him as COAS after Gen Bajwa retires and then rig the next election

No justification for police brutality against anyone but when we use platitudes, we should be conscious of the historical context of what we are seeing.
If MQM had done what PTI is doing the rangers would have shot them all. If it was PTM F-16s would have been sent to bomb them.
What is happening at Zaman Park is a farce but we can talk about it while being conscious of the privilege that comes from the politicians being in Punjab in this case.
When Musharaf wanted Nawab Akbar Bugti, Dera Bugti was bombed several times to get to him.

Imran Khan built a populist movement at the height of his unpopularity by riding on anti-Americanism in Pakistan; the entire narrative was that Pakistanis needed to stand up for their freedom against a foreign conspiracy against the country, not just his party. 🧵
"Absolutely Not", "Haqeeqi Azaadi", and "Imported Hakoomat" is what the entire movement was built it. It was used to label all opponents traitors, some of them were even attacked because of this.
PTI even tried unconstitutionally dissolving the assemblies based on all this.

10 Things you get wrong about Pakistan History.
1. History was taught in Pakistan. Ayub Khan abolished the subject and replaced it with Pakistan Studies and Social Studies.
2. Liaquat Ali Khan was not Quaid-e-Azam's first choice. 🧵
Jinnah had offered the PMship of to the Nawab of Bhopal and Nawab of Bhawalpur.
3. Congress did not accept a separate Muslim country in the Lucknow Pact. Leaders in Punjab and Bengal were angry because it favoured Muslim minority provinces at the expense of the Muslim majority

Imran Khan was handed from Hamid Gul to Shuja Pasha to Zaheer-ul-Islam to Faiz Hameed. PTI was the public wing of the military Establishment.
Imran Khan has admitted himself he was just the puppet PM and ISI has admitted they engineered for Khan:
Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto started with Ayub Khan and Nawaz Sharif started with Zia-ul-Haq but to compare them to Imran Khan just because all 3 were created by the military est is unfair. Those two broke away from Gate No. 4 soon aftewards. Imran Khan has been in their lap for decades.

Years of propaganda against politicians in Pakistan have dehumanised politicians in the minds of the people.
Seeing Ali Wazir in chains, or Maryam Nawaz telling they put cameras in her jail bathroom, does nothing to them because they don't see them as human beings.
Kulsoom Nawaz's illness before she died was mocked. Nawaz Sharif's Platelets is a national joke.
Nobody cared that Ahsan Iqbal, Shahid Khaqqan Abbasi, and Miftah Ismail in Adiala for months.
Zardari spent 11 years in jail. A journalist publicly wished him death when he was sick

On Benazir's death, Pakistan Khappay, and Imran Khan's politics:
🧵
"Pakistan Khappay" is an easy slogan to mock, it has a word from a language the urban elite in Pakistan thinks of as a joke, and it was said by a man we see as the cartoon super villain of Pakistan,
Asif Ali Zardari is the ultimate mafia boss of Pakistan, it does not help that he even looks like one.
But before we talk about those two words - I want to make a broader point - my hypothesis here is that 'whatever is left of Pakistan is due to the civilian leadership of Pak'

Before we blame the generation before ours of being jaded, we have to realize they were born during a dictators reign, and then they were promised the world with the Muslim world's first woman Prime Minister but she was barely given a few months followed by years of musical chairs
We often see brown sahebs bemoan democracy in Pakistan but when have we had democracy?
A decade of Zia followed by a decade of Governments that lasted less than 2 years each with a President that wasn't theirs

10 life lessons I learnt doing podcasts all through 2022. Instead of New Year Resolutions, I will try to embody these principles in my life next year.
🧵
1. Take decisions for where you want to be - not for where you are. Without a big vision you will be stuck where you are because you don't believe that you can be bigger and better.
As always, PTI is confusing their followers by confusing the facts of the Tosha Khana case.
PTI's claim:
What Imran Khan paid the requisite amount
Fact:
IK got the watch wrongly appraised for only 10 crores(real value over 100 cr) and sold it for 28 cr after paying only 2 cr.
PTI claim:
Imran Khan did not steal from Pakistan
Fact:
The current value of the watch is over 2 Arab and Imran Khan acquired it for only 2 crores. That is 198 crores Pakistan lost-even if IK had paid 20% of that it would be 40 crores. He didnt even pay 20% of what he sold it for

People in the PTI bubble easily get fooled by fake news headlines of Imran Khan being voted best PM in the world.
The truth is that Shahbaz Sharif and Bilawal Bhutto have, in a brief time, restored Pakistan's foreign relations that were destroyed by Imran Khan.
Here's a brief list of how:
1. Imran Khan antagonized Saudia Arabia.
2. Imran Khan showed IMF the CPEC documents that were meant to be secret angering China.
3. Him saying Taliban have broken the shackles of slavery ran as a headline in the west castigating Khan.
