1/ Thanks so much to so many folk showing up to demand #DalkeithCountryPark stop flouting access legislation! Hilariously this gate at Old Craighall (longest-running complaint to E.Lothian access forum) was OPEN this morning but it has been locked for years, deterring 🚶🏾‍♀️♿️🚲… 25ish people of many ages gathered across a road with bikes, including several cargo bikes - one with a bright yellow box. A few signs reading ‘access: a right not a favour’, ‘Open Yer Gates Buccleuch Estates’, and ‘you gotta fight for your right to access’
Image 2/ and the recent addition of mesh to the gate really added insult to injury to those attempting the ‘clamber over it’ solution (not accessible to many people). The entrances at Old Craighall and Whitecraig are vital links across the estate…
