1. SALES NUMBERS: if it didnt sell before, it's not getting a reprint/new edition (ex: Gantz sold decent enough to get omnis, but not a perfect ed.)
+ This can change in the future if there's an anime adaptation or something causes interest in the series to explode (ex: Nana since the pandemic) OR there's a SLIGHT possibility that the publisher might notice a new interest in the genre that might be better received today

So you're new to collecting or hunting for manga, but you aren't sure what all this "OOP/OOS/backorder" means, or how to show publishers what new series you want? I'm gonna do my best to explain below

This means a manga is no longer being printed by publishers. It's important to note that SOME series are only PARTIALLY OOP, meaning some volumes have/will be reprinted or can be found, while others haven't for years.
