Some founders think “having a mission” means it’s okay to not have a strong business model.. And then investors react accordingly (poorly)

Here’s the truth:

Ex 1: eBay
Every eBay transaction realizes the mission of giving buyers & sellers agency in life.
Ex 2: Tesla
Every Tesla sold makes the world better, by being 1 more car that uses clean power
