Last night we saw courage!
We (me and my husband) sat at a table early, in a restaurant in Jhansi.
Behind us were a bunch of 16-17 years old - and a couple with two daughters.
A few minutes later, the teenagers started shouting in the direction of the couple. This man was forcing the woman with him to have alcohol. Pushing it down her throat.

For the last 7 years, we have been sold the idea of Vikas ( growth/ development) under the current regime.
so I spent some time, putting together a list of parameters that define Vikas.
Here is how we have fared on each of them.
Unemployment (बेरोज़गारी )
India's unemployment rate rose to 7.11% in 2020, from 5.27% in 2019.
In 2013-2014 it was 5.6%.
The unemployment rate was at a 45-year high in 2017-18, the year after demonetisation.

@srinivasiyc, @vbwalia sent a member of their team in Uttarakhand to talk to the hospital administration. Sandeep Chamoli ji went to the hospital twice and made me speak to the doctor in the premises.
It was more help than I could fathom. 🙏

People Of Lakshadweep need media attention!
The newly-appointed Administrator Praful K Patel has brought a series of changes.
People say these are destructive and "target" its largely Muslim population. Muslims make up for the 90% population on the islands. #SaveLakshadweep1. Among many proposals is to ban selling, keeping, storing and transport of beef or beef products.
2. The administration wants to promote tourism and has begun issuing licenses for liquor. Alcohol consumption was banned on the islands for religious and cultural beliefs.

Mom's condition deteriorated last night. I am angry, hurt and heartbroken.
She was left gasping. There was not a single attendant in Doon hospital to help her. No one to look or care.
She was later put on increased oxygen support by staff after calls from family.
She can't move, fetch water, go to toilet or have food.
Yet, she is made to do all of that alone, on her own. No family allowed, no one to attend.
What sort of punishment is this?

Over the last couple of weeks, many of my former colleagues at @republic have resigned. They have shown exemplary courage, put their careers at risk to speak up.
However a section of people is hell bent on villifying them for joining Republic TV. Here is what you should know.
When @republic was launched in 2017, we were all told that the venture will be different from @TimesNow. Arnab will create his own brand of journalism. He said, 'We are not right-wing, but will do right by the country and armed forces.'
