Today we received dozens of complaints about today's @BBCNews article (which we won't share) on #BhaiAmritpalSingh.
Just weeks after the BBC released a documentary exposing India's fascism, to see that context ignored for a biased take on a Sikh movement is disgraceful.
The article by @ZoyaMat @ArvindChhabra begins by demonising Bhai Amritpal Singh as "raising fears". A balanced article would also highlight how Amritpal Singh is giving hope to countless Sikhs by helping those impacted by Punjab's addiction epidemic through faith based support.

This past weekend the inaugural voting event for the Sikhs For Justice #KhalistanReferendum took place in London (UK). SFJ estimate over 10,000 voters took part.
Further voting events are planned across the UK and other Sikh diaspora areas in Canada, USA and Australia shortly.
The democratic referendum is non-binding and considered illegal in India, but will be used as a gauge of support for Khalistan (a free Sikh homeland made up of Punjab and local regions) among Punjabi-Sikhs.
India have designated SFJ a "terror" org for their referendum campaign.
