Tweets on dog ownership.

Am a dog owner. Not a pet parent. Not any of the higher plane of existence stuff that is in vogue today. I own a dog. I have owned and lost several in my life. I have grieved over them .. spent nights saving their lives from deadly diseases and even ++ Spent fortunes making sure whoever is my pet at that time stays with me no matter where I go.

Am a dog owner. (Have been a cat owner too, but that's for another day).

From that perspective, I can say a few things: dogs are animals. Domestic, unbelievably attuned to human mind+

Have always held that Tamil language & script forms an effective barrier protecting Drav from rules of civility.

Since their abuse / vulgarity is directed at a microminority, there is absolutely zero societal resistance to their behaviour. Image The message above is quite vulgar, but also very typical of Tamil language Twitter.

Long standing theory about the increasing attacks on Hindu places of worship.

Take a look at the proscribed organizations in any Western country. There are ethnic linguistic groups, religious terrorists (of course), far right white supremacists and leftists. All except one! One major group is not present in any of the proscribed organizations list. One group: Hindus.

Now, that presents a problem for the West. They can't play equal equal with their favorite terrorists if Hindus are leading perfect or near perfect lives in the West.

Everyone is angry at the R&D budget. Rightly so. 53% of the budget allocation goes to salaries and pensions.

Incidentally, the govt has noticed that too. Hence, Agniveer scheme.

India is treading on thin ice. Lose an election and INC will be back with its fiscal profligacy. Look at state elections where INC is promising to go to "Old Pension Scheme". Unsustainable.

This govt - for all the ridicule and hate, are moving in the right direction without ruffling too many feathers.
