The Golden Age...

A term (i suppose) well known by most of us. So why mention it? What really defines a ''Golden Age''? Let's start with one important notion: The worldview of our ancestors was cyclic, but at the same time, one aspect of achieving a spiritual rebirth was to grasp the nature of time. What truly is ''time'', you might ask.

The picture bellow belongs to the Russian Mezenskaya Rospis (Mezen Ornamentation). That type of decoration developed rather late, but it holds deeply Pagan symbolism.

Sounds far-fetched? Let me explain : From the get-go we see that it is very detailed, i will ''dissect'' it briefly according to my interpretation.

The figure in the center is the goddess Mokosh (from mok - wet/moist) - she is the She-Bear, the ancestor, the carrier of life, the weaver of fate, the mother.
