Twitch now says that you can no longer call others 'simp', 'incel', and 'virgin' as they are now against TOS, along with any emotes relating to the term simp

Twitch baby, what is you doing? people online are absolutely overusing these terms that they're meaningless, and losers constantly misuse terms like simp to attack anyone who says anything nice about women. however this likely won't address either of these problems. so perfectly on brand for Twitch rules

new: sources tell me due to recent media coverage of fake giveaways and potentially unconstitutional bans, the US Army esports team has paused social activity, streaming on Twitch, and official activations with Twitch including participating in upcoming Twitch Rivals events according to one email seen, while there is no official time frame for a return of the US Army across social media or on their Twitch channel, official marketing activations may not see a return until all the way in Spring 2021

as one of the biggest streamers in all of gaming and on Twitch if your first comment on social after a week of ~100 women coming forward with stories of sexual assault, harassment, and misconduct is to say this, maybe it's better you say nothing at all in fairness to summit, i deleted the initial tweet and went back to listen to his longer thoughts on stream first. my thoughts remains unchanged

Twitch CEO Emmett Shear is showing he is completely and utterly out of touch with the people who stream on and watch Twitch. out of touch with esports and video games, the bedrock of Twitch. even out of touch with some his own employees

Twitch needs more from its leader @eshear @eshear it's not just about porn on Ninja's channel. it's the lack of commitment to secure Ninja, with other big streamers considering leaving. it's the numerous bad rulings and no consistency from Twitch on its bans for streamers, and a failure to address any of them to the community

Regarding Ellie:

- Ellie has said in private messages to teammates in the last hour confirming she has not been the one playing, she is a 17-year old girl but is 'not good' at OW, no Second Wind players/mgmt knew
- Blizzard is currently holding a meeting with SW players/mgmt Punisher, the player assumed to have played as Ellie, is just another NA ladder player. Not a pro smurf or semipro. It is also possible more than one person played under her name.

Correction: The meeting between Blizzard and SW has not yet occurred, will happen in the next hour.

I spoke to the Washington Post on @pewdiepie, and this Verge (Vox) journalist statements in the story how delusional the media is. The real story of pewdiepie IS journalists misrepresenting him to spread outrage. The lack of self-awareness is staggering. washingtonpost.com/amphtml/techno… Between pewdiepie's transgressions and journalists writing about him, the media has shown to be unreliable. Pewdiepie is not a white nationalist. He is not making 76 million people racist. They are not going to Stormfront. These statements repeated have no basis in reality.

Regarding the state of Overwatch: I've been playing OW since closed beta day 1 (Oct 27, 2015). I have more hours of ranked play in Top 500/GM/M than some OWL players. I've watched every tournament.

Overwatch might be the most frustrating playing experience in all of esports. I've played tens of thousands of hours of high level Quake. Thousands of hours of CSGO and Starcraft/SC2. And watched esports games for more than half my life. None of those games have brought me to the level of helplessness that I get from playing Overwatch. For a few reasons.
