Between the time of Jason and the Argonauts and the rise of the Lord of the Rings, there was an age undreamed of. And unto this, Conan, destined to wear the jeweled crown of history's dumbest protagonist upon a troubled brow. It is I, his chronicler, who alone can tell thee of his saga. Let me tell you of the days of high cinema!

1/🧵 First, a little backstory that you all should read - seriously, this thread is going to take a while for me to finish, and you'll want this context as we go along.

tl:dr - this movie isn't half as insane as it could have been

Barbie was unironically brilliant

Could actually red pill some dudes Lessons from Barbie:

1. Women can have an absolutely perfect life and still find something to complain about

2. Women in charge of everything will absolutely and completely marginalize men

3. There's really no patriarchy today

Which generation produced the greatest Batman?

The character has been portrayed a number of times in live-action media over the last ~60 years, with actors ranging from the Silent Generation to Millennials

Let's see how they stack up

🧵 I will not be including animated portrayals

The point is to evaluate the entirety of the performance by one man, and if physicality is a metric, giving someone like Kevin Conroy a spot on this list says more about the animator in that regard

(consider this an honorable mention)

It's going to get worse

And if it gets better

It's going to take a while

But if we survive the next 20 years

The unintended consequences of what is happening today

Could actually be extremely favorable Global elites play the long game

And they don't care if America (or any other nation)

Collapses along the way

Their wealth is not limited by petty international borders

They manufacture goods where the labor is cheapest and sell them where the consumers are most gullible

Well-regulated actually means I should have the right as a civilian to own an A-10 Warthog, Jeffrey, but you're not intellectually prepared for that conversation Me imagining a civilian militia comprised of a crowdfunded carrier group and full armored division, and how low my taxes would be from a government terrified of pissing it off...

Mentioned in a conversation with @hmestedpadre some time ago that I was looking for a new church, and was weary of the progressive, feminized congregations that plague most of Christendom.

No idea how he did it, but he suggested a church less than ten minutes from where I live Haven't been moved to try many new churches since we moved into our new home - the scamdemic has so many of them acting stupid, I honestly found the prospect discouraging.

I am not about to enter the house of the Lord with a mask on my face, and I don't want to argue about it

I didn't expect this one to blow up. Guess I should have known better. There's more to the story... I fill in a few of the details here (if you're on the mailing list, it's headed to your inbox)

August 2014

I'm 40 and fat

My 30s are over, and I can recall achieving nothing of note for an entire decade of my life

A corporate gig with no growth potential

A dying marriage

A home in the middle of nowhere

I've known for years I need to do something about it Inertia is a bitch

You get into the rut

You stay just comfortable enough

And you wake up 10 years later wondering what it's going to take to crawl out

Or are you just going to keep digging?

Problem is

Nobody wants to shame you anymore for that kind of mediocrity
