🧵 I married the love of my life too, and we had normal marriage difficulties. We were pushed toward ACBC counseling that gave us hard Comp teachings. This teaching made our marriage worse.
Of course it didn’t seem that way at first: at first, it actually seemed better.
Why did it seem better when it really wasn’t? Because I was given a formula for how to *do* marriage as a wife: if there was a disagreement between me and my husband, I could state it once, then make one appeal, then if we still disagreed, I had to accept his decision.
