How has the war changed them? How do they reflect on the experience three years after the invasion – being a woman in the army? This role, seemingly new, becomes increasingly familiar and better understood.

Our friend Taras Bilous has been awarded the Daniel Singer Prize for the article () about the Russian invasion of Ukraine. He donated the entire prize of $10,000 to the Solidarity Collectives.newpol.org/the-war-in-ukr… Taras is the editor of the magazine “Commons” (Спільне) and the author of many in-depth analytical articles. He was one of those who stood at the origins of the anti-authoritarian volunteer movement. Later, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Zhenia died on 22 May near #Bakhmut The beginning of the war caught him at a university dormitory in Vorzel, a town near #Bucha, Hostomel and Irpin.
