1/16 A thread on how the issue of ‘sex vs gender’ intersects with UK politics 🧵 Image 2/16
The fact remains: humans do not change sex.
Some people present as the opposite sex, for their own reasons. That is their choice, and they have the right to live as they wish.

1/ These are very busy times for news outlets.
Yet trust in media has tumbled and it correlates with outlets adopting gender identity affirmative guidelines.
Editors underestimate how damaging this has been because people can see and hear for themselves the nonsense it is. Image 2/ There has never been a greater need for fact-based, objective and nonpartisan coverage.
But in trying to claim that men are women, this apparently tiny change wrought enormous damage to news outlets that adopted this stance.

And STILL nothing from @bbcnews about the WPATH files that revealed the extent of harm its members have been doing to children and vulnerable people, including recommendations for turning them into eunuchs:

Legacy media don’t seem to see that a deeply harmful and, frankly, deviant movement is openly recommending how to turn kids into a class of castrated sex slaves.
In case anyone thinks this is too abhorrent to be true, here it is:

1/ Reading this story in the @BBCScotlandNews section you’d presume that it’s about a boy - who identifies as transgender- but is nonetheless male. Image 2/ Here’s the story, where the teenager is referred to entirely as male, with male pronouns:

Teenager plotted mass shooting at Edinburgh school

For anyone who’s misjudged the trans issue as a niche matter and to be avoided, prepare to be surprised by how much of a ruckus it’s causing our politics. 1/ This is not a ‘culture war’. It is not a ‘toxic debate’. It is how our political parties and institutions have become captured by an ideology which is as absurd as the flat earth theory.
It works in tandem with censorship, where anyone raising questions about it is proscribed 2/

Once again @tiktok_uk @tiktok_us @BytedanceTalk you censor voices that point out scientific fact in favour of accounts promoting self-harm, irreversible cosmetic procedures. These affect mainly young women and girls, the demographic that has most identity issues 1/ Your promotion of these young women to young girls who are being influenced to go on to take testosterone and have irreversible procedures such as elective mastectomies because they’re running away from how tough puberty is for girls is like promoting anorexia 2/

FYI this child murderer was given glowing positive press cover on ⁦@Jezebel⁩ and ⁦@NYMag⁩ - as of now, the articles are still up.
JK Rowling Attacked On Twitter After Calling Out Account of Convicted Child Murderer reduxx.info/jk-rowling-att… The @NYMag article on Synthia China Blast, the man who was jailed for his involvement in murdering a 13 year-old black girl, is nothing short of atrocious, an attempt to romanticise this man’s experience as trans and his relationship with another murderer

1/ High-profile figures of the left and right both claim to be arguing for the rights of children, especially in the US.
On one hand, the left is advocating for the rights of the so-called ‘trans child’ and their ‘right’ to have healthy body tissue removed and their endocrinal… 2/ …systems to be disrupted, procedures which are sterilising and irreversible. Evidence from clinics such as the soon-to-be closed GIDS at Tavistock points to the majority of these young people are overwhelmingly same-sex attracted, and/or with ASD, have prior trauma…

What gives @Primark ? If true, what the woman in the video below is describing is an abject neglect of the 2010 Equality Act, Schedule 3, Part 7, Paragraph 27. Despite a high profile case this year that highlighted the serious flaws of mixed sex changing rooms, providing opportunities for predators, did this not give high-level management pause for thought on this reckless policy that contravenes the EA2010? bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan…

Excellent thread by @TwisterFilm on the origins of sterilising ‘gender affirming’ care on young people.
TL:DR there is no evidence for it and it’s being used to sterilise children who reject sex stereotypes and who will very likely grow up to be gay. Take a look at the receipts: “What's also become clear is the vast majority of teens referred to gender clinics are gay. It's easy to forget when the Protocol was developed in the 90s homophobia was rife. 'Stranger in My Own Body' treats homosexuality as problematic and related to being trans.“ Just awful.
